Founded in 2004, Xplore is Canada’s leading rural broadband service provider, delivering innovative Internet and mobility solutions that bring life-changing connectivity to communities across the country. With a mission to ensure every Canadian—no matter the postal code—can access high-speed digital services, Xplore has grown into a trusted brand for rural and remote living.

The Challenge

Xplore was at a pivotal moment. As Canada’s largest rural broadband provider, the company needed to fuel rapid growth while managing a complete corporate rebrand. Beyond awareness, the challenge was clear: acquire high-quality leads, convert them efficiently, and ensure every marketing dollar was driving measurable business impact.

Xplore set ambitious goals:

  • Increase product awareness across rural communities.
  • Acquire qualified leads that align with its target audience.
  • Drive high-quality calls and web leads at the lowest possible cost per acquisition (CPA).

Xplore also underwent a complete corporate rebrand, requiring a significant digital strategy to support the launch while maintaining growth momentum. Additionally, the transition from Xplornet.com to Xplore.ca created challenges in traffic, organic search visibility, and user engagement.

Our Approach

We partnered with Xplore to implement a comprehensive digital media and website optimization strategy focused on driving measurable business outcomes.

  • Funnel-Based Media Strategy: We built an awareness–consideration–conversion framework, optimized with offline conversion tracking, Salesforce integration, and bid strategies targeting down-funnel actions.
  • Offline Conversion Tracking: We connected Salesforce and CallRail data to advertising platforms, allowing us to bid towards revenue-driving leads and opportunities rather than vanity metrics like clicks.
  • Platform Innovation: We migrated display and video ads to Google’s DV360, unlocking access to advanced targeting, publisher networks, and offline conversion optimization.
  • Website Enhancements: Through RDEL, we optimized Xplore.ca with regional personalization, postcode-based pricing, interactive coverage maps, multilingual support, and an SEO overhaul focused on non-branded keywords.
  • Strategic Launch of Xplore Mobile: We delivered a high-performance website on a tight timeline to support the launch of Xplore Mobile, establishing it as a credible competitor in rural mobility.

The Results

Our long-term partnership has delivered sustained growth and measurable business impact.

  • Conversion Growth: Overall conversions increased by 221%, while CPA decreased by 43%.
  • Sales Impact: 45,788 leads converted into nearly 10,000 new customers, generating over $44M in lifetime customer value.
  • Return on Ad Spend: $4.9M media investment under RDEL's management generated a ROAS of 9.4x.
